Theatre Work

The main objective in our theatre work is to develop and present authentic drama from the present-day global Chinese community, at all stages of the process from script writing and script development through to the final production of the play.

Out earliest work was in Wuhan (Manchester's twin city in China), and from our base in Manchester since the year 2000 we have been funded by the Arts Council of England and North West Playwrights. Our three theatre productions so far have been Taking A Liberty, The Story of Rainbow (Contact, Manchester) and Lao Wai (Central China Normal University and the Manchester Opera House).
